Dr Jonathan Lusthaus is Director of The Human Cybercriminal Project and Associate Professor in Global Sociology at the University of Oxford. He is a Governing Body Fellow of St Antony’s College. Jonathan holds a doctorate in sociology from the University of Oxford and was a Clarendon Scholar.

Jonathan is best known for Industry of Anonymity, which Harvard University Press called the “the most extensive account yet of the lives of cybercriminals and the vast international industry they have created, deeply sourced and based on field research in the world’s technology-crime hotspots”. He leads a number of projects on the socio-economics of cybercrime.

Jonathan is a regular speaker at major cybersecurity conferences, including Black Hat, Def Con, Enigma and the International Conference on Cyber Security. He is an engaging presenter who has been invited to speak by the world’s leading universities, technology companies and law enforcement agencies.
